I've watched her for a long time and I have a great deal of respect for what she has made of her life!

Since I'm the one who originally posted that I was taught that gossip is wrong, do you consider me a hypocrite? Not trying to stir the pot, but am curious as to how others may view me. I can be pretty outspoken in the things I believe, but I have tried to not be hypocritical.

I guess what some call "man bashing" some call "empowering women". Just because she's not advocating being barefoot and pregnant all the time doesn't mean she's "man bashing".

Well all I heard as walking out the door was Opra dening she is a Lesbian and seeing her in tears.That was all I caught it makes it our business when the Media plasters it all over.

Glad she isn't considering its an adnormal Lifestyle.

If this is true, then I guess I'm a lesbian, lol, a BIG one! My two best girlfriends and I used to go camping on our vacation every year, two weeks, just us girls, back in the 1980s. So if I camped with TWO girls, I guess I'm a BIG lesbian, ROFL!

I will say, we did seem to be an oddity to the men at the lake. They kept walking past our campsite, and you could hear them talking about "no men around" and "maybe they're coming up on the weekend". Very early one morning when we were still asleep, I was on the bunk that the dining table made into. We had the big door open and just the screen shut because it was hot, and all of a sudden I heard two men talking, looked up and they had their faces pressed to the screen, looking in and one said "you know, I guess they ARE lesbians, there's even two of 'em in the same bed up there!" lol Yeah, there were three of us and only the full-size bed and the single bunk below. We took turns trading off who slept where.

This is the part where I ask for examples and you reply that you don't need to give no stinkin' examples.

I had a feeling about you..... As for the guys, you probably made their year. I bet they still talk about the time the were camping and saw the lesbian girls actually in bed together.

The whole camping thing was funny because it was all on camera, for the show. It's not like they were off on a private trip. It's a talk show and there wouldn't have been much talking if they'd filmed Oprah sitting alone next to the fire.

Now, I REALLY don't want to go looking through 25 years of Oprah material to prove that wrong.. but before I do, PLEASE tell me you were arguing to the ridiculous so I can skip it?

Gossip is wrong, yes. I would assume that the shock that some of us would say that is expressed because we talk about political figures so much? Understand that talking about people behind their back IS gossip, but that anyone seeking a position of authority over us must be vetted and that their demonstrated character is of utmost importance. Discussing their character and ability to lead is NOT gossip, it is prudent. Do many of us stray outside the bounds of reasonable 'vetting'? Of course. We all get carried away from time to time.

Among her guests, sometimes. And sometimes the guests are men who bash women. Most shows are not like that at all. Oprah herself stays objective. She was completely neutral at times that would have been difficult for me....cheating husbands, John Edwards, convicted child molesters....I don't know how she does it.

Perhaps she had a reason to be a male-basher. From Wikipedia:
