If the bridemaids wear blue, and the father of the bride dances with them, it might take a lot of that money just to get the stains out of their dresses.

I also hate the "elegant" food - first off, I'm a BIG eater. I don't want a little slice of meat, with a couple of vegetables - give me a REAL meal! One that will actually FILL me! Besides, most of the time the "elegant" food tastes no better than the REAL meal.

Leave it to the British to have all the scoop.

Here are 31 photos of Chelsea growing up. They are really good. I'm sorry for the dial-up people!

Well, considering about all the media and tabloids have been ableto pin on Chelsea in her life is her wedding, she's turned out to be a whole lot more upstanding person than her genes would indicate was possible.

I guess since First Family wasn't there, the story in the US wasn't newsworthy.

I looked at photos of it today. Seems that it was not a huge wedding (400 guest, the link said), and I did like the dress on her. And from the smiles, they seem so happy. I wish that happiness for always for them.

I think the feeling is mutual. She adores her dad.

From what I picked up on the Canadian tv news reports and videos of it up here, apparently the media that were there were by invitation, they were bussed in and had a special press area assigned to them. Security was very tight. Maybe they didn't want a lot of American media or papparazzi there because they thought they would be indiscreet and would trash her wedding and turn it into another political debacle? I think they just wanted privacy for the wedding and the guests. In any case, the media that was there spoke highly of her as a lady for the nation to be proud of and they took flattering pictures. I thought she looked just lovely, like an ugly duckling turned into a swan.

I can see their point, Naturelover. If they chose one US media company to cover the wedding, then the others would be angry because they weren't chosen. Not that the Clintons worry too much about hurting others feelings, though.

It still seems like a slap in the face to Americans for the Clintons to not have local media coverage. After all, Hillary is the Sec of State.

There was some local coverage, not all American media were excluded, but not all were invited - msn was there:

You are right about some media being angry. If you google "American media coverage of Chelsey Clinton's wedding" you will find reports from politically biased media that were not invited and you'll see that they are indeed trashing her and her family. I suspect if they'd been invited the trashing would have been even worse.

I think the media everywhere is becoming FUBAR'ed.
