It ISN'T stealing, you paid the price THEY asked for it. Whats the big deal? It's not like you shoved it under your coat and slipped out with it. Now THAT would be wrong.

Especially when many who defend "morals" will also defend the EBT card user for buying junk food and expensive stuff that will only put them at the food bank begging next week.

Oh...that wasn't me! I was the one saying we should yank the cards! LOL

It seems a pretty even split, with the dividing line between where everyone's personal bell rings waving a bit with the situation.

For those who might have given the forum version of the neener neener at me (LOL not offended!) I follow the moral code similar to the one of Zoroastrianism. Though I wasn't born Z so can't be Z, like hundreds of thousands of others I do try to follow the wisdom of it. Basically it boils down to Good Thoughts, Good Words, Good Deeds. Everything you do must be evaluated by yourself to either be a right or a wrong. Pretty nifty and a little hard to do sometimes.

Aintlifegrand - My thoughts almost exactly!

Ley your conscience be your guide.I had a Guy offer to buy something off me for $75 one time I told him ok.He came with the money.I told him no He asked what was the matter? I explained what I had wasn't worth it that I would only take $50.

Now this is a Guy that has cheated me out of thousands of $$ just because he does me this way is no reason for me to be the same.

There was a girl yesterday thought she was giving me two Pennies in change, she gave me a Penny and Dime,I called her back and made it right.

I'm at a delima now I orderd Parts and UPS lost them, the Company resent Parts in the mean time I found where UPS had left what had been sent first time.I feel I should send them back even though the company told me to keep them even though it would cost me to send them back.

Just do what your Heart tells you.

No... but then the money paid at Target is determined by business leaders not volunteers and for profit and not charity....

No at that point it is a gift.

Funny, this became quite timely for me.

I gave my DD one of those "hatch your own butterfly" deals for her 5th birthday. You have to order the arvae, they come encased in a plastic container with lots of food, spin the cocoon and you remove the mesh netting with the cocoons on it and put it into the butterfly house to watch them emerge. Anyhow, I ordered the larvae on July 9th. I finally e-mailed the company three days ago and said I still hadn't received the caterpillars. They e-mailed me an apology, and a confirmation that they sent the buggies out that very day since they had been in the mail too long.

Now here comes my DH...with a handful of mail. He tosses me a tiny box, says "I don't know what this is." I open it, sure enough...there are the poor buggies, cooked, deaer than dead...I didn't know they were to come via postal service (thought they would be UPS or FedEX) and hadn't been checking the mail...DH grabs mail and throws it into his car where it will remain for a week and better before he gets around to bringing it in. Leaving that aspect of it alone (it ticks me off, I have missed more important dates and things this way), I am now presented with a dilemma...the cooked bugs were actually our fault, I am suspecting they sat in his truck and baked for a week. But they have already sent out a new shipment. I will most likely e-mail the company back and see if they will charge my card for the extra shipment, and explain what happened. Others say, the heck with it, it isn't worth the effort. I thought of this thread!
