Someone showed me a trick they used when doing these 10 yard skeins: without taking the single off the bobbin, they unwound (like, out through the orifice) what they needed to ply as a butterfly on the hand, then held that like you would a center ply ball, kinda, and used the loose end to start the plying process against the other end of the single as it emerged from the orifice.

It was a bit odd, but it worked.

And yes, usually you can tell the difference between worsted and woolen especially after washing.

OK, I must say, I was WAY TO gentle on the woolen skein. I better go wash it AGAIN!

No, I haven't seen those yet. I think I better make a trip to the lib. to see if they can get them for me!

Maybe both of these skeins look worsted, and once I'm done with that OTHER one, it'll look more woolen!
