feeding DE

Well I have to say, after putting it in my does minerals again, which I haven't done for a couple years I think, they are throwing tapes like crazy. I then started my bucks on it Friday in their mineral too and today I see tapes there as well. Hmmm I think I will keep them on it for a year and see if I have less parasite problems next year than I had this year (spring being the worst time of the year). Glad this thread came up. Apparently silica enhances immunity as well. And I know my milkers can convert it to calcium if they need it.

To start taking DE, take one TEAspoon daily for 3 days.

Then go to one heaping TABLEspoon daily.

I just ordered some food grade DE, can't wait to try it out. Ecspecially on my dog who is impossible to keep weight on.

I think you're going to be happy with the results. I've never had a problem keeping weight on my dogs but after I started giving DE to them it didn't take long before they just looked healthier. I also mix a little up in a spray bottle and spray them for fleas every couple of days. You can also rub it into their coat dry but then they'd roll and lose it, so spraying them makes more sense.
