Oh Ann, I'm so sorry Dixie passed. I know she will be missed.

We have a total of 8 others in the pasture - 4 mares and 4 geldings (not all ours thankfully). The mares came up to the fence calling to us - they are looking for Dixie. She was the lead mare, Queen Witch and ringleader if any trouble was brewing she was in the middle of it or very close - probably critiquing.

Soon I will need to go into the field and start "messing" with the others. These past couple of days I had to go back to work and just rest. I have been getting tired much earlier than normal. My poor husband has been so great through all this. Big tough raised on farm guy - Dixies passing put him to tears as well. And he was the one who had to dig the grave and use the tractor to place her in it.
