Amazon.com is also going to be adding sales tax for Nevada starting next month.

A tiny bit off topic, in regards to sale tax. Amazon now charges sale tax for residents of Georgia. I ordered a camera on cyber Monday. The camera was ordered through Amazon, but fulfilled through Beach Camera. It came from the Amazon warehouse, but sold by Beach. Thus no sales tax. Also got free shipping, but had to change to "Free Shipping". It wasn't the default.

MDkatie is right.

You are supposed to select the kind of shipping you want. The option may default to paid shipping, but the other options are right there as well. Free ship can take longer - that's why some people do choose paid shipping, especially this time of year.
