Too close for comfort.

I don't spend much time watchin the news, but haven't heard much on the border areas in some time. Would you mind giving some examples? I'm a bit farther north, like in the metromess. Son in law was working down along the border in gas fields last year, and had a few things to say, but haven't heard anything since he changed jobs.

One thing he said was if someone knocked on the door at night, you didn't open it. One ploy was a woman knocked on door with men hidden to rush it when it was opened.

I think they are talking about the ranches that border the river. They find bones in the ranch land here all the time from those who tried to walk to Houston but didn't make it. As far as towns on the border and property not on the line, we feel perfectly safe but then we do have a fence and a big dog!
