I milk cows full time, so I spend a LOT of time alone, which I really enjoy. However, I feel like all of my "hobbies" are productive, so on some level they've all become things I "have" to do (cooking, canning, gardening, etc). I just feel so blessed with the way my life has changed in the last few months I feel like I need to do everything I can to appreciate it.

Also, I'm moving to Australia so I can hang out with Notbutanapron!

No more WoW for me guys, I was a serious raider when I lived in the city prior to my homesteading life. There is no burn out like competitive dungeon raid burn out!!

I've dabbled in a lot of online titles back to Ultima Online, Diablo 2 and 3, City of Heroes, Warhammer, Star Wars Old Republic, Guild Wars 2... and a few others that slip my mind.

The single player bioware made RPGs though are just about a guaranteed good time with high replay value... with possible exception of Dragon Age 2... it's a "good game" but a bad Bioware game.
I mainly play a silly free to play korean golfing game called "Pangya". the cheery graphics are pretty addictive.

Offline titles are also a better bet with country internet being all over the place.

Outside of games though, I am also a big movie buff, and I like to dabble in writing fiction. I see arts and crafts as more of a means to an end than a hobby.

In cold times I read aome, watch movies and cook. I the coming season I will finish my hoophouse, Run irrigation lines. Process the plants I grow and take some trips down Texas way. These things are what are fun to me. They are also productive. I can only do one thing at a time.

I love being here on HT, watching youtube, listening to music, reading this and that, playing freecell on the desktop, and writing in a daily journal.

I read a lot...I also love to hunt and fish. I enjoy kayaking. Last year I restarted playing golf. I haven't played in 18 years. I now live across the street from a golf course, so I think we know what I'll be doing when I get some free time!

I've slowed down some with age and regret that I now have no place to ride. That's been one of the biggest disappointments of Kentucky for me.

Otherwise, for entertainment ... books (and more books) ... and artwork ... plus playing/ground working the ponies and horses.

I do lots of what other folks have mentioned, sewing, cooking, dogs, gardening, etc. As for different, I work at a history site and an 'offshoot' of that is that I do some living history/reenactment in my 'off time'. Recently, I worked 'butchering day' at a different site, in full 18th century garb. I do 18th century weaving and open hearth and camp cooking and most fiber work. My husband and I take 'tomato tours' (my kids named then that when they were small and we'd get 'lost' while headed somewhere). Kids are grown, and we now will take a saturday or Sunday, hop in the car with a picnic and deliberately 'get lost'... set out for a place we want to see, but if we wander off the trip path, we roll with it. We're having a ball. We are hikers, so we wear our hiking gear, find a place and get out and go. We have learned to throw in the tent, cause we sometimes don't make it back.

I like to get out and ride my motorcycle when the weather is nice. I like to fish, hunt or just walk in the woods. When the weather is lousy, I like to go to my shop and reload ammo or work on guns or fishing reels. This time of year one of my favorite things is to go to our pond in the evening, build a fire and just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. And maybe a nip of good scotch....

I like to read and to garden, and whenever I have a spare hour or two, I usually bake something.

Whoops, there goes my salacious reputation ...

I like to read, cook something new,and play board games with ds.When we have money we might go ice skating or roller skating at the rink.In decent weather we set up camp by the fire pit and have a cookout.

There is a local garden park and we love to walk that in the summer and fall.
