It might make them Mennonite. That goes on alot, not the hanky panky part, but the marrying cousins. We have one couple that married and theyare double second cousins. that's why they keep family books, so they can figure out how close the relationship is.

Wrong, the (real) father now makes his other kids half brothers and sisters and the (ones she has always been brothers and sisters with) half as well.

The double cousin thing is no big deal. The couples that married were not related in blood at all. I feel sorry for the girl that's uncle is now her dad though. What a mess.

The child is half brother/sister with whatever children have the same biological father and biological mother. The child is only a "full" sibling with children that share the same father and mother.
She has a few more siblings and a few less cousins

Not wrong. I said the siblings change (and you are right that the cousins now also become half-siblings), but the cousins are still cousins as that is counted from the grandparents and the children all still have the same grandparents.

When I was a kid there were two families in our church that would provide hours of entertainment during boring services. I would take a few sheets of paper and try to figure out the relationships. See, there were these two widowers who each had a daughter. These two old farts married each other's daughters and each had a bunch of kids. No it doesn't end there. A son from one of the widowers from the first wife and the daughter from the other widower married and had a bunch of kids. Now that is a flow chart.

I was pretty sure that made you from Perry County PA. Or makes you my step-grandkids! LOL

Mom has 5 kids, 3 from Dad A. and 2 from Dad B. Dad B. has 2 kids from a previous relationship. Mom B. is sister of Dad A. So the step-siblings of kids 1-3 are also their cousins.

I was once married to a man who was married before and had 2 daughters. His ex wife and his father married and they adopted his daughters. So he was brother AND daddy!!!

umm..it would make me grossed out.
My dad and his two brothers married my mom and 2 of her sisters. There are 8 of us that are "double cousins". Would totally ick me out to find out about any "hanky panky".

Wouldn't the half brothers/sisters still be her cousins too?

Double second cousins is related enough that genetic counseling advised them strongly not to have children. So far they've adopted two. And their parents are both double second cousins as well.

But recently one of the daughters from family B has told one of her nieces
that Son 1 was really her father, not Son 2. (hanky panky going on)

So now her brothers and sisters would only be halves now, right?
and some of her cousins would now be halves.

This is confusing to me, is she half bro's & sis's with her cousins at the same time?

Family B
Lisa

Larry

Jack + Lisa
John + Lori

Lisa confesses that a son (David) she bore was not with her husband Jack, but with John.

This would make this son (David) a half brother to any child made by John.

All children made by Sally and Larry are cousins

What a hot mess.

The question was "what would it make you"?
1. If I was David, furious.
2. If I was Jack, feel betrayed, and devestated that my wife and brother would stoop so low.
3. If I was Lisa, a dirtbag for taking my husbands brother to bed.
4. If I was John, a dirtbag for taking my brothers wife.
