I used to think I was a good cook until my husband came along...he outcooks all the hutterite women in our church! Rarely a recipe (unless he's making sausage), just a little bit of this, and a little bit of that. But I still make better pies!

I lived alone for 12 years so I learned to do all the home making stuff pretty well including cooking. Fast food gets old after a while. DW was adopted only child and was never made to do anything around the house and never had the interest so is not all that domestic. Her mom's a great cook though and cleans houses for a living. Go figure. DW has learned a lot in the last 14 years but I'm still the better cook and yes, sometimes I just start grabbing things and putting them together and she's like OMG this is good. Unfortunately I can never duplicate those meals. So now I get recipes online, tweak them and she takes over from there. I'm still the bread baker though.

Well I love to cook and BAKE, and I just love a good pie, I don`t take the time to cook like I use to do, but still help out some. I am like several on here, a recipe is a guide, and change to my liking. I have several times created a few dishes, my wife says where did you get this recipe? And she can`t believe that they just pop up in my head. Sometimes they flop, but on the most part, they are darn good. > Thanks Marc
