If you ever have to shoot a bear, save the fat! Render it and you have the best leather conditioner available. My neighbor says he always used it on his saddles and tack. He said he did this for decades and stored his tack in a barn that was not rodent proof, yet never had rodents chewing on his leather, which lasted forever.

Do not try this with pork fat.

Had a member on here had $600 Vet Bill because a Bear got ahold of her Dog.

We haven't seen him again, but my neighbors (who are birders) have.....he showed up last night to clean up the bird seed he spilled the first night. Very considerate
