Steph- While I was doing mine I was thinking that the clippers would do a better job. It was in the 80s here in Northern Iowa today...

I haven't switched to shorts yet even though it's pretty warm here (70s-80s). I'm not actually sure where my shorts are right now . . . DH put them in storage with the other summer clothes . . .

Once I find them, though, I'm planning to use the clippers first to get the longest bits off. Then I'll switch to the razors. Given how short the clippers get my husband's beard, I think it might help!

It seems the shaving goes along with the transition to spring/summer as well as bringing out the summer clothes!! Both are always a dreaded job....

I performed the ceremony yesterday, and gave myself a lovely cut on my ankle bone. So now I could wear shorts or capris, but the large bandaid would detract a little. Aaargh.

Not me, I'm waiting until it's long enough to braid.

A little advice from a man. Next spring here's what you do. Clean up the yard/pasture and put all the trimmings in a pile. Wait for a cool windless morning. Go out in your shorts pour 2 liters of gasoline on the pile. Stand fairly close to the pile and wait 90 seconds (about long enough to try to tear off and try to light five paper matches) then toss a lighted match on the pile. In mere milliseconds all the hair on your legs will be gone. Trust me, it works well!!! Really, REALLY well. As an additional benefit if you have someone tape you, you might just discover some new dance moves.

Starting to look at my beard with bad intentions...it seems to sense the end is near.

You are hilarious. You remind me of my high school friend. She would go all winter without shaving so she'd have extra insulation! Ha ha. I wonder if she still does that?

I wish I'd thought of using the clippers! Took a very long time to get the legs smooth last saturday. And, glad I'm not the only female who doesn't shave in the winter! This was my first year going all winter long, and the first winter I haven't scratched grooves into my dry itchy legs.

I'm gonna do mine tomorrow I think. I just need to get a gallon of gas for the lawn mower first.

For the winter festival in February where I live we always have a Hairy Legs contest. To lose is sad. To win even sadder. After that everyone shaves. I find long hair to be itchy under long johns. It can also lead to confusion and mistaken identity. Let's just say that at night, in bed, in the dark the cat who sleeps under the blankets has gotten a little too excited rubbing up against my legs.
