Ours is white, textured, but my mom's kitchen in her old house was exactly the color of Kraft mac n' cheese.

Fire engine red. (they say red isn't good because it increase appetite, though) The floor is blue and white checkerboard. Our cabinets look like a maple. Have an old pedestal restaurant table. Sort of wanted to go diner retro, but it's rather eclectic.

Before moving in here in March, I paint the walls a beautiful Mocha color, w/ bright white trim... It is so warm and inviting.. Everyone says "it so cottage like"..

I was in design for several yrs and helped realtors 'stage' houses.. It was so easy to work w/ neutral colors.. no matter the seasons.. They seemed 'move-in' ready..

I had bought some border with cats and blue and white dishes on EBay. A few other colors in it too, but not much. Our Home Depot had a girl in the paint department who was really good with colors, and she surprised me by choosing a lilac color. There is a but if this in the border. I have pure white cupboards, and light wood tone laminate floors. My table and chairs are also pure white, and the adjoining room is a sunny yellow with white woodwork and green accessories also.

It is gorgeous. And I had some navy corduroy chair cushions and they were a great accent. Had to take them up as they were magnets for cat hair tho.

Decided I wanted crown molding, white of course, around the ceiling, and have yet to do it, I never got the border up. People love that lilac color tho.....

My kitchen is pale yellow with country white cabinets and I use red as an accent color, as in curtains(red n white checked) and nic nacs such as chickens etc.

I really went against the crowd. Mine is red and black. walls are a deep red and black appliances. I redid the floor in brown marbled tile last year and had enough tile left to put on the wall behind my stove. A little darker than your normal kitchen but has plenty of lights.

My kitchen/hearth room is wallpapered in a print that has a warm beige background with pinecones and berries. My accent colors are a wedgewood blue and burgandy red. When we had to replace appliances and countertops we went with a granite color that ties it all together, and stainless steel appliances since I don't have little ones living here to fingerprint them all up. I wouldn't want stainless steel if i was still raising little ones.... I have a Pergo laminate floor, medium color, really pretty and holds up well to the dogs and cats for 8 years now, still looks great!
