We had Raisin Bran this morning because hubby was running late and I didn't have time to cook.

The last week we've been eating a lot of bagel sandwiches...ham and cheese or egg and cheese on a buttered toasted bagel. YUMMY!

For those who ave to eat something because of taking medications, I have a suggestion.

My meds make me just plain sick, but I found something that helps.

I eat a bite of a banana and wash down a pill. In a few minutes, I repeat ands repeat until the pills and the banana is gone. It makes the queasiness better.

Years ago when I taught Head Start/preschool, one of our teaching assistants would bring in the ingredients and we'd all make gingerbread people. I recalled that the recipe used molasses, so went on an internet search and came up with this recipe:

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/grandma...es/Detail.aspx

I tried it today and it's the same recipe and is the very best gingerbread I've ever had in my life. I might get by now. LOL!! My goodness these are good good good. I used cold unsalted butter as the shortening and it worked great. I made it into big cookies and didn't get the 5 dozen it says this recipe will make. More like 25 cookies. I have a few left for the rest of the week. It's hard to stay away from these.

I'm going to bake more of these as Christmas gifts for the family.

I'm happy to have all the great ideas for breakfast. It really helps to look forward to eating.
