I toasted a piece of flax bread and put American cheese on top that I popped in the micro for 10 seconds. Also had a cup of skim milk.

I was bad this morn, breakfast was a icy cold glass of milk and a huge slice of fresh made applecake, but it had apples, applesauce and pecans in it along with two cups of Double bergamot earl grey.

the milk was yesterdays milking from our Jersery girls and it fills me up.
I did better yesterday, steel cut oats with raisins and hot tea. I don't drink coffee.

Sometimes I'll heat a bowl of brown rice doctored up like oatmeal, with raisins, cinnamon, nuts and almond milk. But I also like it with butter and scrambled egg. You can always add salsa.

I had squash, milk, eggs and some spices that I baked a couple days ago.... It resembled a slice of punkin pie to the casual observer.

Half a pound of meat and three or four eggs. Sometimes a can of sardines and a few ounces less of meat. Fry it all up in coconut oil. Yum.

Sorry, toast it is. Granted, home baked sourdough bread, but just buttered toast and 2 cups of chocolate/coffee.

I don't want anything sweet first thing in the morning, which rules out cereal, pancakes or anything along that line. I don't particularly like eggs no matter how they are cooked, except in potato salad. Anything greasy doesn't set well first thing in the morning either, so there goes the bacon, sausage, ham.

Today, I had an egg and a toasted whole wheat thin bagel with homemade pumpkin butter. Normally, I eat homemade granola (which is not sweet)....but I just made the pumpkin butter yesterday so I was craving it, lol.

I have the same problem, need to eat to take meds but nothing sounds good. . .

Lately I have been doing well with a serving of cottage cheese.

But you have given me some good ideas!

I think I will make crepes filled with lightly sweetened cottage cheese and topped with home-canned sugarfree blueberries.

Gingersnaps work well to settle my stomach when I am feeling queasy and still have to take my meds. Works well for the dogs that get car sick as well.

Today's breakfast was half a barbacoa bowl from Chipotle (leftovers). Day before that was squash, day before that was stovetop rice pudding with dried fruit.

Maybe toast doesn't sound that special BUT fresh warm homemade bread spread with butter and jam is a wonderful breakfast!
