Beautiful pictures, Lisa! We had one come up on our deck last winter--she was looking right in the door when my DH saw her! They are big--and beautiful.

They come into town here in the winter and prune the bottoms off the fruit trees. They are beautifull, but big/huge.

Next time you need to set out muffins. Mice get cookies, pigs get pancakes, and Moose like muffins....at least according to the books my kids read, lol.

Now that is something you don't see in the city. She is a beauty. I remember we were driving home one evening and a young Moose lazily walked in front of us we had to slow to his speed. He just looked at us and went on his slow pace and finally turned off the road.

I had to stop to let the cranes cross the road the other day. I know, not the same caliber of wildlife

I had a beautiful Hawk fly right in front of my car this morning. I just love nature! I would love to see a moose up close (but not too close!) but I just can't take the cold weather.

Chickenmommy:

I did the same just yesterday....and further down the road found their dead chick where someone didn't stop...so sad.

Lisa, what a wonderful way to either start a day or end one, i.e. sitting in one's pajamas on the back porch watching a moose in the water. The wonders of nature are all inspiring and uplifting! Thanks for sharing those pics.

That is sooo cool. Moose are one of my favorite animals but we are killing off the majority of our herd in Minnesota and they are getting quite hard to find.
