There is 21 years between me and my oldest brother and 21 years between my youngest child and oldest. They are more fun the older you get.

Congratulations Suzy and Hubby! I know your girls must be absolutely thrilled.
There are 17 years between my oldest and youngest. Yes, they are funnier as you get older but yes, you will be much more worn out!

Ours are 23 and 13. Have another if you want. It's not crazy at all. By the way, DH's oldest child is 45 so you could have it a lot worse.
My grandparents had four living children. When the youngest was about ten Grandma had an oops baby. Two years later they decided to give him a sibling. Yep, she had twins.

A big congrats to you both! Your girls will be "in love" with your new baby! We traveled that "crazy train" and then some. It is fun and quite the ride! I have four children, ages 24, 21, 15 and 13. We also have a chocolate brown eyed grandson of 3 years old. I am turning 48 soon and today is our 25th wedding anniversary, certainly a day of reflection. My 3rd child is an absolute joy and life could not have gotten any better than my 4th. First we had the girls and then the boys. What a gift each unique child is and I would not change it for the world...a huge hug to you! As we see through the eyes of our children, life is always new and more beautiful. Today, our 13 yr old was very excited to point out the soft lines of the moon visible with the bright sunshine...they don't miss a thing.

I'll poke my big old nose in here now-
Have you thought about fostering?
Easier on the bod! Usually! LOL
Or adopting, so many little ones waiting for love!

We had discussed it, but since the whole idea behind foster care is
to reunite the child with their family (all be it, fixed or not) I couldn't
give them 'back' : / Those who can, bless them, I just don't think I could.
As far as adoption, that would far from an economical decision for us.
Adoption is not cheap in the slightest and there are so many restrictions
these days. Not that I wouldn't gladly take another child in.
We're due in June.

We did this, accidentally. In 2005, our youngest was 6, DH finally agreed we could have one more (#5). A year went by, not pregnant. Went to the docs, finally got diagnosed with secondary infertility. FINALLY got over not being able to have another in 2008/2009, came to terms with it, whatever.
2009, he came home from Iraq on R&R. I was really moody a few weeks later, he talked me into a pregnancy test. Oh yeah! WTH???? Walked around in a fog, was really hard to switch my thinking back to "baby." Wasn't sure I really wanted the baby until I went to my first appointment, and the ultrasound showed it wasn't developing properly.
Ended in a miscarriage that had me in bed for almost 6 weeks. DH and I talked back and forth about whether to try again...by the time he got home from Iraq for good in the summer, I knew there was no way I could handle a pregnancy after how rough the miscarriage had been.
One day he mentioned that tomorrow he would be home a month, and lightning struck me...oh crap...
Actually had my follow up doc appointment the next day for the miscarriage, doc said well, your hormones are still fluky, you could still be testing positive, we'll do bloodwork and know in 2 days. She called me back that afternoon to let me know there was no need to wait two days...we were DEFINITELY expecting again.
He's 18 months old now, our other kids are 19, 18, 13, and 12. DH is 45, I am 39. Do I even need to mention how very spoiled this child is???? He is ROTTEN, lol, and very much the light of all our lives.
Do it, you won't regret it!

hehe, I'm the 'baby' also. My mom kept insisting that it's much more fun to spoil the baby. My siblings refer to me as 'the brat' even still, lol.
My mother (me) and my sister have a baby at the end that's spaced out (and now apparently us). So this should be interesting...
It doesn't even seem possible, think I'm still in shock, lol. The idea of being pregnant is a bit foreign. It's been 9yrs after all! Guess we better get used to the idea, eh?

I'm 57. Daddy was 47 when I was born, and his father was in his 70's when Daddy was born.
I'm the only person I know whose granpa fought in the Civil War.
