Hmm...maybe I should get dd out more.
I took her to the dr.this morning and while I'm digging out my insurance card for them to copy she runs over and begins to pet an old lady's fur coat.I called her back over to me and she goes I wanted to ask what kind of kitty cat it was:shrug: This didn't settle well with the old woman who snipped" It's a mink not a cat. They are small little furry animals made just for coats  I tried to distract her to something else but no way is she going to be interested in something else. She then asks the old woman if minks were some kind of rats:nana::D I almost busted a gut over the look on her face.Don't you ever get this child out in the cultured world ? I replied no we didn't leave out rock often.

That's hilarious. :rotfl:
|
that is funny!
time for DD to learn what a mink is now...lol |
I'd said only to go rat hunting :D
|
Hehehe. I would have replied in my best hillbilly drawl that mink are vittles where we live.:sing:
|
I don't think I could have sat there without laughing, too funny.

Out of the mouths of babes. That is the funniest thing I've heard all day!

When I was a kid my mother had a no longer worn shoulder warmer or ?? that was a fox pelt. It was held in place with a clip in its mouth and you inserted the tail into the clip. Looked like it was biting itself. Bet you daughter would have enjoyed seeing it as much as I did. The 1920s from which it came were surely exciting and stylish times.

LOL. Well, when you go out in a mink coat, you are gonna attract attention. Small furry animals made just for coats? LOL.
I was pretty fascinated by a fox stole when I first saw one too. My little sister was scared of it though. I *think* I remember someone chasing her around with it, threatening to bite her... |
Oh my...thats funny!
|
That's Funny, the old lady could have been a little nicer tho.

That would not have sat too well for me, and I probably would have explained that mink were not made for coats, period, that they were little animals quite content to go about their daily lives in their OWN coats and not have to give up their life so women like her could parade around in them. But thats just me  Good for your daughter! :D |
My mother had a persian lamb coat and a friend of mine asked her if it was real poodle fur! LOL
|
You are too kind...I would have said, "Darling, it's Cruella DeVille's sister...you remember Cruella, who kidnapped all those adorable Dalmation puppies to kill so she could have a fancy coat?"
|
That is so funny.
|
Windy I can't imagine what may have came out of her mouth if she had seen a fur with the head attached.LOL.She spent the rest of the day wanting a "rat mink" for a pet even calling her granny for her one .LOL Shygal that old lady is the type I imagine that believes green beans comes from cans.

LOL This is hilarious! I sent the link to my husband so he could read it. He loved the part about minks being made for coats.

"Made just for coats"... oh really. Suddenly reminded of a pet ferret I once had who gleefully nipped the toes of someone snarling about how much they hated ferrets and how foul they were. Heh. |
That's awesome. :)

OMG "are minks some kind of rats" :rotfl:
I would have love to seen the ole biddys face suck her breath in after hearing that one. Its perfect! |
