Hey everyone, it was October of 2001 that I had the wild idea to start my own forum. Little did I know what would come of it. It has been such a joy to see the bonds that have been formed over the years. Many people have come and gone, many dreams have been dreamed and fulfilled, so much life has been lived. Thank you all for your contributions to this forum. It is great because of the many wonderful posters who keep posting interesting topics and caring so much about one another.

Happy Birthday! Time sure does fly. Melissa, don't know why I was thinking it was in 2000. Seems like the forum was going longer than 6 months before the switch? Anyways, doesn't matter, :) thank you so much for starting and continuing the forum! You've done a wonderful job.

My heartfelt thanks Melissa for your fine forum. Many of us do understand the struggle that you have made to keep it a great from your gentle but firm moderation hand. Always a darned if you do and darned if you don't and one cannot please 100% even a part of time.

I see Homesteadingtoday wasn't too far behind the beginnings of your forum, just a few months lag time. Glad you placed it under this great umbrella of forums so many more could enjoy and participate.

I remember nursing my daughter while posting & reading on your NEW forum! She's in 3rd grade now :)

Brady used to fall asleep in my lap at night while I was typing posts and checking the forum, he is 16 now!

I've had 4 since you started the forum - computers that is. The first one was outdated when I made the mistake of buying it from Daymark.

I don't post much on Countryside Families, I spend most of my time on the rabbit forum, but I read CF every day and have found there are a lot of wonderful people here. Quite a diverse group of people who get along very well for the most part.

HT in general is a great place to spend my time. It's nice to be in a place with many others who share my lifestyle ideas and it's packed with a TON of information.

This Thanksgiving I am thankful for HT and those who run it! Great job!:goodjob:

wow, I remember posting that my miracle grandson was born perfectly healthy. He will be 8 on Oct. 20. Thanks Melissa, for hanging in there through all the rough times.
