Mama's gone
 

My mother lost her long battle with cancer last night at 7:45. I want to thank all of you who prayed and kept her in your thoughts. Because of this I had an additional 4 1/2 months I probably would not have.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Andi. I lost my mom nine years ago in October and I don't think that I'll ever be the same again. I wouldn't say it gets "easier", but the time does come when you aren't thinking about the pain every moment of the day.

Take care of yourself during this time, and do what you need to in order to heal -- you'll be in our thoughts.

Awww...I'm so sorry hon! Losing our Moms is hard, isn't it? Even though we may be glad they are no longer suffering, it's still hard to let them go. They usually take a little peice of our hearts along with them. Best to you during this difficult time.

I'm glad you had those extra 4 1/2 months. My mom died of cancer almost 10 years ago. The grief let up eventually, but I still miss her. God be with you.

I'm so sorry. I lost my mom to a lengthy illness about 6 1/2 years ago. I found that grief isn't a smooth path. I started out with mostly bad days, with moments of good times. As the weeks passed, the good moments grew into good days, until they greatly out-number the bad ones.

There are still times when the grief feels very fresh, but those times are getting farther apart and are mostly replaced with good memories.

Take care of yourself; grieving is hard work. We're here for you.

I am so sorry. Losing your Mom is one of the hardest things in life. I lost mine very suddenly almost 4 years ago. She went to bed appearing totally healthy and vibrant and did not wake up the next morning. I am glad you were able to say goodbye to your Mom. I will pray that God surrounds you with his love and peace.
