I take an 81mg Bayer aspirin in the morning along with a multi vitamin and a Vitamin D and B Complex; all OTCs.

Every time a doctor tries to put me on medications I always feel worse and end up stopping the meds so now I dont even bother. It must be hard taking all of those meds everyday and it kind of makes you wonder about the doctors; most want to give out some expensive medication as the first method of treatment.

Just a note - some pills should not be ground. Fenofibrate for high triglycerides is one. It says to not even take them if they are chipped or broken.

I got off my blood pressure and triglyceride pills. Only take the thyroid and cholesterol pills now. YIPPEE!!

I'm 66 and have been in excellent health until this past year. I've always taken vitamin supplements - Vit C, D, multi with minerals, extra calcium, fish oil, turmeric for inflamation, and now, take thyroid, cholesterol, high blood pressure, and prednisone for PMR. It just blows my mind that I can have all those problems when I eat very wisely, - it makes 10 pills. I've had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands ( found out later that it was due to the PMR, unnecessary surgeries!!) Then had one knee replaced, didn't recover well, and found out about the PMR - polymyalgia rhuematica. It's an inflammatory disease which landed me in the ER one morning, had been perfectly normal the night before. It's not fun, but is treatable with diminishing doses of steroids. I'd never heard of it until I woke up unable to move or get out of bed. The CRP blood test is what diagnoses it. If you have no energy, all over pain, swelling - ask for it - the disease is very vague, but also very debilitating.

greenacres, what vitamins are you taking for psoriasis? I have it and it is all of a sudden trying to multiply all over.
I take to prescriptions meds on a regular basis and don't want to take them. I don't like meds if I can keep from it.

With all my different conditions, I currently take 42 prescription pills daily, and two more on as needed basis. I also take 3 insulin shots per day.
Thank God the VA supplies my meds....Oh, and I'm 56.....
