Yeah, when you look at the many things to do in our short time visiting this planet, I have to say that television and movies are pretty far down on my list.

Time spent in dirt is time spent playing with God. He started the world with a garden, so we know that His is a gardener's heart.

God bless YOUR heart, Melissa, and I mean that most sincerely and in the literal sense. May you experience healing, but mostly may you know that no matter when you're called home, you've done your best to walk in peace with our Father.

Oh, Cabin, I'm so glad I'm not the only one that wants to see The Movie! I want to see when God made all this....will it be like Narnia (growing like time-lapse photography) or will it be like Veggie tales (God just said PHHHPPPPTTT, and there it was)? And when Goliath fell....did the Philistines turn tail and run or stand there with their mouths hanging open? I want to see be with the first settler who came through the pass into the Baker valley in eastern Oregon. My list is looooonggg!

This thread could start a whole new discussion, about whether or not people stay on prescriptions from their docs. I myself am very wary of medicines, only take them when absolutely necessary, like antibiotics.
I have a friend who had a heart valve replacement a few years ago. The surgery was a success, but since then she is on a constant treadmill of doctors and drugs. She takes at least 4 daily prescriptions that I know of, possibly more. Now after 3 or 4 years, she is experiencing a horrible skin rash. It is really awful, it must be like a leper used to look! All over her arms, and some on her legs too. People stare when she goes out in short sleeves. After a year of treatments from 2 different skin doctors, they say it is from all the drugs she takes, interacting, and of course they say she can't go off any of the drugs. They just add a few more for her skin. She is one of those people that the doctor's word is law. They have helped her in some ways, but hurt her in others!

When my husband's Uncle Bernard was told that he had cancer by his doctor, he smiled and exclaimed, "Oh boy, I'm going to heaven!" And he meant it.......but the doctor looked at him as if he was crazy. Anyway, that was over 17 years ago, he still has it and other things......and only now at 91 has his kidneys started shutting down. He will not be going onto dialysis though. So I think he is ready to make his trip now.

My SIL was told over 5 years ago that she had some rare lung disease. I have never seen any evidence of it. She is fine. For her age, she looks real good and is very attractive. Not sick at all.

I agree that if the doctors tell you that you are going to die in a certain time period, then you will........if you believe it. I believe in taking care of yourself using herbal remedies and supplements and good healthy food. There are a lot of good things for heathy hearts.

Praying for you, as this forum would definitely not be the same without you.

Gosh, sounds to me like you have another 18 years!
When my grandma was a young married woman, she was told it would kill her to have any children. She went on to have 7 kids and sure enough, she died - in her mid seventies. Doctors don't know everything. Just enjoy each day as it comes.

You've got a great attitude, Melissa, and I'm glad you're still here too. My MIL beat breast cancer 30 years ago, when the doctor said she only had 2-5 years because of it being Stage 3. But she had a good attitude, fought a good fight, and she's still chugging along.

Doctor's often underestimate the resilience of the human soul. And the fact that GOD has the final plans for us in His hands.

Perhaps you'll be so busy doing all the things you enjoy or do to help those that you love that you'll miss your appointment with death.

My wife's uncle was given six months to live twice in his life. He ended up outliving three of his doctors.

You would be greatly missed. It wouldn't be the same on this forum without you.

The worst thing you can do is take that doctor's prognosis as gospel, all he knows is lab tests and drugs.
The human body can recover from some very serious conditions if you give it what it needs. I believe there is a cure for most problems, we just have to search and keep trying until we find the answer. I have read lots of testimonies from people who had been given the death sentence but recovered with natural alternatives.
If I had a heart condition I would start taking Hawthorn, Garlic, Cayenne, Ginko Biloba, CoQ10 and proteolytic enzymes for inflamation, also a good alkalizing Ionic mineral formula. I would stop consuming any commercial vegetable oils, no junk food, just live superfoods with lots of Chlorophyll, Ribose is special sugar that will strengthen the heart, check it out. I would also detox with Liver and Kidney cleanses, bowel cleanses, Saunna baths, also check out cell food, this is great stuff but be aware that it can cause a severe healing crisis, this is when you get worse before you get better and most people and doctors don't understand it.
Keep searching and believing and you just might go to that doctor's funeral.

Time for another trip to the doctor so they can tell you "two to twenty" again so you can start the two year cycle again. And then keep doing that for the next 30 or 40 years. Or, heck, 50 years, why not? Just keep up the good work!

Me too! I think of that often. There are so many things I want to see and so many people I want to meet. We play a game at the house sometimes of what dead person would you like to meet and what would you ask them. I want to meet my grandmother that came cross country in a covered wagon. My the stories she must have (and the video to prove it).

Your herb list is pretty close to what I take. I take hawthorne, bilberry, elderberry, cinnamon, CoQ10, magnesium- a real biggie for the heart, fish oil, garlic, aspirin-only two times a week, gingko, grapeseed extract, and a regular multi-vitamin as well as a few specific amino acids. I do not take cayenne, will look into that.

My diet is pretty good, but not perfect, I work at it!

My dad's doctor once told me that his health was so fragile that a bad cold would kill him, and that he'd never survive a broken bone. He didn't think he would live very much longer. Twelve years later, after surviving a dozen colds, three boughts of pnumonia, a broken hip, and lung cancer (recovered without any treatment at all), his doctor remarked on how well he was doing. He told me "Ten years ago, I would have never believed he would live this long."

The good Lord is the only one who knows, and until he shares that information with you, I wouldn't put too much stock in what anyone else says.

Let me add that my Mother was told in the late '30's she'd die before she turned 40 of a heart condition and she's now 92. In fact, she had her childen at ages 39, 41 & 43.

And my orthodontist told me when I was a child I'd lose all my teeth by age 40. I'm 51 now and still have all my teeth! Hang in there and do what you're doing. The doctor should ask you for advice!

With all these testimonials it sounds like you could have a busy, long life ahead of you!

I've often wondered about medications when the side-effects are everything from hang nails to death. I often wonder if the chance of NOT taking them isn't worth the risk!

At the age of 3, my mother was told that she needed to love me and enjoy me a smuch as possible because children with the kidney ds=isease I was diagnosed with, didn't live past 18 yrs. I am going to be 49 on Oct 17!!!!!! God wasn't/isn't done with me either! Still a lot of people need to know who God is & that He loves them. I plan on telling as many of them that I can while I'm here! So all praise to God who sustains us! Enjoying the good life today! Patti

My dad has been saying this for over 20 years - he's a non-compliant diabetic. I guess God isn't ready for him yet! We've know quite a few people who were expected to die, but took their time about it. I know one very active lady who was supposed to die last year. She's the picture of health!

On the other hand, my mom died at a young 76 - we sort of expected her to live forever.

And on the third hand - we could ALL go any time now.
