I miss Don Armstrong. I enjoyed his posts. I wish I knew what happened to him. It would be a closure, if you will.
I remember when John KL passed, so sad, he was only 58. He must have made sure someone would let us know if something happened to him.
I haven't been a member as long as the first posters on greenspun were (Lucenet Countryside Magazine days) were but I've read quite a few posts by the early posters. It isn't easy to keep up with everyone with people no longer posting, people passing and user name changes.

Since they are no longer listed in the Members List, I'd deduce that they have been "banned".

After she made her posts about the bigfoot appearance, and found someone to help try to substantiate the claim, she deleted most, if not all, of her posts about it.
She was banned shortly after that.

That's odd, I think that KincoraFarm was a moderator of the equine board, if I remember correctly. Bummer.

I used to be a member of a small board where a prolific poster suddenly stopped posting. After a week, someone posted a link to a newspaper article stating that he and his 3 other family members perished due to carbon monoxide poisoning. They had not been discovered dead until 5 days of hot weather. It was definitely him, we knew his full name, age, location and there were other things about him that were mentioned in the article. He was only 52 and it was a huge shock.
The member had made it well-known that he was an active member of this other non-related board, so some people tried to figure out his screen name there so that those members too could be informed. There were no indications that anyone was aware of any tragedy to any of their members, the member list was quite large (possibly as large as this one) and it was impossible to figure out the screenname of the man who passed on. I have to believe that eventually someone would notice - wonder if they ever found out what happened.

On one of the agriculture boards I go to I had been chatting for years with a regular from Ontario who helped me with wheat marketing now and then. He disappeared for a few months, then one day I saw his obituary in a farm paper here and passed it on. It happens.
