Prayers for you and all your family. We all need to take time off now and then. Our own needs and our families come first. Sometimes life throws us in a spin and the only way to recover is to take time to just "breathe", find peaceful moments and gather our strength.

Prayers and hugs,
Rosemary

We all have priorities, and at times they shift. Never apologize for that. You do what you do in order to take care of yourself (and yours).

My best to you.

Melissa, this has been a difficult and sad time for the people here who realize that one of our most colorful members won't be writing about his life anymore. I understand that you need a little time to recoup.

Add that sadness to your life which is full of family and you deserve a little space.

Remember that family always comes first and the forum will survive. We'll be here when you're ready to visit .

Melissa, let's see, you have husband who is having health issues you have yet to learn the cause of, you've lost a very dear and special friend, you have a daughter planning a wedding....girl friend you need to learn to be as kind and thoughtful to yourself as you are to the rest of us.

Hugs,
Marlene

Praying for you, Melissa.

Is there another moderator who can step in so you can take a few weeks completely off? Or...gasp....can you shut down the board while you do.

We all love the board and companionship, but the truth is that you are more important and need to take care of yourself first.

I second the vote to name another interim moderator and take some time off. It's a big job keeping all of us playing nicely together, and it sounds like you have a lot of issues at home that need your attention too.

I am reading and moderating, just a little lax on the participation front. I'll get back into it soon...

Melissa..As a long time admirer of what you have created here, I believe there is so much of your heart and values in Countryside Families that it can drift along fine without too much oversight for a little while. Long term is a different story.

Sounds like you may be dealing with a bit of burnout so I suggest..Make a point of being gentle and caring of yourself so that you are restored and strong enough to care for everyone that needs you. Only makes good sense...Glen

Melissa, I think a lot of us are feeling a little reflective lately. Take care of you and yours and we'll struggle along without you for awhile.

Melissa, you have nothing to apologize for. You lost a good friend. Take the time to grieve and don't push yourself so hard.

Take it easy Melissa. Your new signature line is one of the sweetest things I've ever seen anyone do.

Melissa,

You have family health issues and remember FAMILY COMES FIRST.

No apology is necessary. Many read but don't always post, as I do, and say a little pray and check back at another time hoping for better news when someone is having problems. Peace, NJ Rich

Melissa, take a well needed break (as I've found out that it's good to be able to do so ). I'm praying for you and yours

Take a break. We'll carry you for a while. Let us know when you grow tired of the smarty pants one liners.
