Now see, I thought in order for it to work I'd have to pull out those colored slips of paper! Silly me! Hmmm, I gave away my MOTH book. I think maybe I should check into it again. And throw away those colored little slips of paper as soon as I open it! LOL
Another problem we have.........and I shouldn't call it a problem, but it is.......we have too much room. Usually the opposite problem eh? We moved from an 1100 sq. foot house to one that is right at 2300. Twice the room. Which is great for us to stretch out. Not so great, cause now I have 2 houses to clean in my mind. And the tile floors if I do them uninterrupted from sweeping/dust mopping to wet mopping....one hour. There is SO much of it. This does not include vaccuming the off white carpeting that some fool installed in here. ACK!
I am in need of a schedule. It is getting done now, but at the cost of all my time and patience!
God Bless,
Michele

Rocky,
Can you post a picture of your schedule??? Please I would really love to see it. I get the eye twitches thinking about using a spread sheet program. I always mess up the little boxes and urrrgggg. Well I sat here and cut out all those color slips and for my guys they like having colors that represent them.

Blessings,
Debi

I can take a picture of it tomorrow, but it might be better if I can cut and paste it from excel - I don't know if it works that way, but I will look into it in the morning.
Blessed dreams, all!

Hey the dishes are being loaded by the 8 year old, but he is past his bed time. His choice, next time he'll get it done when he's supposed to. But then we are also dealing with some attitude so school today took WAYYYYYYYYYYY to long. But we got it done, Thank the Lord there.
Blessings,
Debi

9 year old was being VERY stubborn yesterday Debi, she took 6 hours to fold laundry. Something that should take her 45 minutes (4 loads) at the most. She wanted to play and do whatever. It started at lunch time , went into dinner time and after dinner. DH said, "Why don't you just tell her to stop?" and I ask, "I would but when did she really START?!?!?" LOL She finally got it done and I ask her, "Ummm did you enjoy folding laundry for 6 hours?" and she said, "Not so much." LOL Today........took her 10 minutes.
Now.......who is coming to organize my cabinets???? LOL
God Bless,
Michele

Oh and before we get any comments, SHE ATE LUNCH AND DINNER. ROFL
And she was not folding for 6 hours. She was you know........laying on the floor with the puppy until I came in and got her back on task....one point she was fixing her hair...good gravy the child was doing ANYTHING but folding. Anything. I just kept telling her, "Your wasting the day away." When the others went outside after dinner, she was crushed she couldn't join them. But hey, they did their chores.
I am SUCH a mean Mama!!!!
God Bless,
Michele

I've read/heard many success with MOTH. It's just not for me at this time. As far as making a spreadsheet, hmmmm I just need a plug and play program right now. Would be easier if it was all done.

Michele,
Nice size house!!! I can see why it would take you longer to clean everywhere. You need more hands to help As far as the kitchen goes, why not today, in your spare time, find a cabinet closest to the stove and put the pans in that. I actually have 4 cabinets, spread throughout my kitchen, with our pans. The 3 nearest the stove have the majority of pans. I also have pans that go along the top of my cabinets as they are too big to fit in them. Plus I use them too much to store them in the basement or somewhere else. Then tomorrow move your seasonings into a location that would work best for you. Then the next day put all your snacks/baking stuff in a cabinet where you normally put food together. Just take 1 cabinet a day at a time. Also forgot to tell you that our menu this week changed. One night we fed the whole crew waffles and ice cream! Very nutritious supper! Sure made them happy

Rocky,
I would be interested in seeing your spreadsheet also. Do you have different season schedules? During the summer do you school all summer? How long have you been using MOTH? Have you ever met the Maxwells? We have had the opportunity to met them twice now. Really nice family. I was on their forum they had until it shut down. Were you on there??

Blessings All!!

Michele

I will take a picture of my cabinets. It is VERY confusing. The cabinet closest to the stove will not hold my pans. I willl take pictures label the cabinets and see if anyone has some better suggestions for me. Goodness knows I need them.
And DH just looked at a house in Arkansas, near the Mississippi border, last night that was 5,500 sq feet. It was SO pretty and all I can think of was......I gotta clean all 7 bedrooms on those 3 stories?!?!?! LOL It use to be a bed and breakfast home. It was so cheap and so big. Those spell UH OH for me when DH is involved. And cheap for us is probably not for others. We are just use to $350,000 rinky dinky shacks here in Florida. LOL
God Bless,
Michele

I eat that a lot lol, mainly because I have trouble eatting enough protein and the beans help (not a big meat eater....might have a chicken breast now and then...) plus, it's cheap. Lately though I've been making it with brown rice, though it makes it a bit chewier and takes a lot longer to cook!

We generally have a school schedule and a summer schedule. During the summer we do a little schooling, particularly if someone is struggling in an area, but not like our school year. In the summer the schedule reflects gardening, major projects, and the like. We have been using MOTH for.....just guessing....at least 6 years but not more than 8. I have never met the Maxwell's, and did not know their forum had closed. I used to print charts and things off of there.

LOL Cyndi!
My newly minted 6 year old for the longest time her job was to "Stand there and look cute!" we'd tell her.
God Bless,
Michele

Sorry this took so long, I had to wait for the camera batteries to charge. I resized the photos to the "message board" option size on photobucket - I hope they are small enough.

Anyway...This first picture is the entire schedule. It is mounted on dark blue posterboard, 2 sheets horizontally taped together. The schedule is not crooke - just the camera operator, LOL

I only showed the bottom cabinets. The tops ones........sheesh, they need help too. But that is another day. You can see that my pots and pans are over by the sink and not the stove. But I truly need one large or 2 small cabinets for them. The plasticware is the same. I am thinking of switching them. What do you all think???
God Bless,
Michele
