Nearly 10 years ago, for my birthday, my boss make me a Texas Sheet Cake...and I've been hoping for the recipe since then

Melissa, I trust your judgement, would you please share your recipe?

Chocolate Sheet Cake

2c sugar
2c flour
1/2t salt
1 stick butter
1/2c shortening
1c water
3T cocoa
2 eggs, well beaten
1t soda
1/2c buttermilk
1t vanilla

Combine flour, sugar and salt in bowl. Heat butter, shortening, water and cocoa in pan to boil. Pour over flour mixture and mix well. Beat together eggs, soda, buttermilk and vanilla. Add to mix. Bake in greased and floured sheet pan for 20 min at 350.

Icicng

(mix 5 min before cake is done)
1 stick butter
3T cocoa
6Tmilk
1#powdered sugar
1t vanilla
1/2c chopped nuts

Melt first 3 ingred and boil for 1 minute. Add rest of ingred and mix well. Pour over cake when you tyake it out of oven.


Peanut Butter Sheet Cake

1 stick butter
1/2c peanut butter
1c water
1/2c cooking oil
2c flour
2 eggs(slightly beaten)
1/2 c milk]
2c sugar
1t vanilla
1t baking soda

Put first 4 ingred in pan and bring to boil. Mix remaining ingred together and add the boiled mixture blending well. Bake in a well greased and floured sheet pan at 400 for 20 minutes.

Frosting
1/2c peanut butter
1/2c butter
1/3c milk
1t vanilla
1# powdered sugar

Bring first 3 ingred to boil. Remove from heat and add sugar and vanilla. Stir until well blended then frost cake.
