Wendy, I managed to embrass and humiliate myself greatly when I questioned someone who's post were like that. Everytime I read their post I was left wondering why someone would use all those unnecessary key strokes.
I received a very nice, well mannered reply that explained the poster is disabled and uses a special program to be able to post online, and some way or another when it used on this board it's transcribed like that. I was advised to P.M. whoever is incharge of such here and ask for their help.
The problem was not there in the P.M.
Hugs
Marlene

I try to be careful with spelling. I have severe hand pain at times and tying hurts. Also I often have help at the keyboard, my cats, Zippy and Saki.(is that a sentence or a run on?) I try to type like I talk, and that is often not in sentence format.
Sometimes a post is confusing, sometimes the replies are confusing. I try to read it twice before repling.
There are things I can't figure out, like how to spell check before a post. Oh well live and learn.

There is a program you can download called "iespellcheck". Don't know the website address, but you can google it, that's how I found it. It's a free download and no matter where you are posting after you get through you can left click and click on check spelling and it will spell-check it for you.
Although there are some words it doesn't work with such and medical words.
Spelling and English were two of my worst subject is school. When I went to college I barely squeaked through. I feel like as long as a person can get their thought across that is all that matters. If I don't like the way it is written then I just skip that post and go on the the others.

i understand the op original point, i find it much easier to read posts that are broken up by paragraphs.
it makes it easier to read. maybe my eyes swim to much to follow the long paragraphs, but i do also tend to skip them
maybe its ADD

God love ya, Mitch.
Posts with paragraphs are so much easier to read. I usually skip by the longer posts that do not have paragraphs.
Rose, that cake looks delicious! I'm on a diet, so Mitch can have my piece.

I like paragraphs too. I don't care of they are in the proper places, just put some in. I can barely read posts that are 30-40 lines long with no breaks in them. I cheat though, since I can edit all posts, I often hit the edit button, add the paragraphs, and read it. Then I exit out without actually editing the post!

Just recently I posted that in another forum and the person I was posting it to called me racist
Anyhow, I also don't read posts that aren't paragraphed. I've tried to but I usually just lose the train of thought and can't seem to comprehend unless I really sit and focus. But it usually takes 2 or 3 times as long for me to really get a grasp of what they are saying if it's a really long post, so the longer ones I just usually hit the "back" button. Not trying to offend anyone, but it's just difficult for me so I don't bother.

OH YES.
I just came across it on this forum for the first time... I did my best but couldn't read it without getting distracted so now I don't read those posts either.

Moopups:
Go back to bed and get up on the other side! If something bothers you, just skip over it. If their 3rd grade teacher couldn't change them, I doubt you will be able to. Some things we just have to treat like water on a duck's back (let it go). I think you might be needing some dark chocolate!

I'll agree with Moonpups.
If there's a giant block of type on the screen with no paragraphs of empty space dividing the block of copy, it sort of looks like a worm fight. I just have trouble reading it.
I don't get bent out of shape over minor errors, I'm more interested in what people are trying to say.
But the big block of swimming letters makes my eyes buggy.
Sometimes folks tag a post with "(long post)" and then post something that's heartfelt and interesting, but it pains my eyes to read it. Break it up a bit, and I'm happy.
That, please don't use the non-word "prolly" in your posts. When you do that I make a noise like I'm snorting a large burrito and the folks here at work look at me funny.
After all, I'm supposed to be working.
