that was too funny! Better not tell dh about that stuff...he'd probably try it! And right now I'd die coughing if I tried to laugh at him.

ROFLOL!!!!!!!!!!! DH is a police officer so there is pepper spray lying about the house. I can't remember why it was in the bathroom one day but apparently it got set off a little. DH doesn't mind the stuff a bit. He has gone through training many times (as an instructor) and it only makes his nose run a little bit (though he has told me more than one story about the effects on others). He neglected to mention the problem to me and I about died when I went to the bathroom! I really feel for you Chuck, but I confess to having a good laugh first! You really do have a way with words.

Well, if Chuck survives this, we can nominate him for a writing award! Of course, they do grant those things post-humously, don't they?

Or, in Chuck's case, post-humorously.

I can hardly wait for the future time when I can tease him about squirting the equivalent of a bottle of hot sauce up his nose.
Gives "snorting" a whole new meaning, doesn't it?

I sent some to my dad who refused to let me know if it helped (he probably never tried it). Since I couldn't get it in England I sniffed some hot pepper powder in water (probably much lower strength) and felt it did me some good. Thanks for reminding me of this- I can no longer use pseudoephedrine or codeine much for the nagging cough/postnasal drip I get and maybe this is the answer again.
Did CHuck use it as directed or maybe two sprays like usual stuff when they say one soft spray? Must be some way to get the sinus clearing effect of eating spicey Indian food without a religious experience.

It is very powerful, and only a small spray will give enough pain to get you going. A large spray or two would be just like Chuck describes it. I think it helps me some, but others might react differently to it. I would never suggest it to DW, as she has slight allergies to hot peppers, and might react too much. THe original use of this stuff is for migraine headaches.

I'd be scared to drink this. Assuredly, there will be trouble at the other end, if you know what I mean.

Only one. ONLY one.
I thought of a new use for the stuff last night - it's great for keeping you awake while driving!

Reminds me of one of DH's favorite jokes:
Why do you eat ice cream after you eat very hot spicy food??
So that on the next day when the hot spicy food is coming through - you can say ........
COME ON ICE CREAM!!!!
