We were YaYa Sisters ... she was Divine Faerie, and I was Little Beak.

She was 49 years old.

Survived cancer (sacrificing two breasts) a few years ago.

Got the "flu" shortly after New Years.

Went to sleep, miserable yucky, last Saturday night and never woke up.

littlejoe 01/09/13 07:20 PM

Sorry for your loss as well as those who surrounded her, Glazed.

I can see there are many smiles shared!

Raeven 01/09/13 07:24 PM

I'm sure sorry, glazed. Losing a close friend is rough. Remember her and keep her alive in your heart -- I know you will. Hugs and best to you.

tambo 01/09/13 07:26 PM

I am so sorry for your loss glazed.

JohnnyLee 01/09/13 07:27 PM

I am so sorry for your loss.

vicker 01/09/13 07:30 PM

Sorry, Glazed.

summerdaze 01/09/13 07:37 PM

Aww, I hate to hear that. I'm so sorry sweetie! The same thing happened to a friend's 36 yr old son. He had been sick, and was sleeping on the couch. His older brother went to warm up his car, and heard him snoring when he left. When he came back inside, Michael wasn't breathing anymore.
I had a heart to heart talk with Michael 4 or 5 months earlier. I was glad we had the chance to connect. I always liked him.
I'm sayin' a prayer for you babe.

nehimama 01/09/13 07:42 PM

I am SO sorry for your loss & your heartache. Beautiful smiles - both of you!

BamaSuzy 01/09/13 07:44 PM

I am so sorry! After the hell of cancer it hurts to loose someone this way but stop and think.....if you have to die....what better way than to just ease out of here in your sleep! I am terribly sorry for you, and her other loved ones.

... I hurt most for her daughter, and mine ... we were all so close ... I haven't told Lindsey yet (my oldest miracle in China.)

Here is another snapshot from New Years.

I am very sorry. You both look happy in the photo. Hold onto that.

Warwalk 01/09/13 08:29 PM

I hate that that happened for you... pour a shot and hoist it high for her.

Ramblin Wreck 01/09/13 08:38 PM

Really sad news. She was way too young, but it sounds like she went to sleep and just didn't have to get up.

Jaclynne 01/09/13 08:53 PM

Oh glazed, I'm so sorry for this loss.

Terri in WV 01/09/13 08:55 PM

Sorry to hear this mama. She looks like she was a very vibrant woman. As hard as it is, I hope that it's some comfort to know that she left the world peacefully.

cindilu 01/09/13 09:22 PM

Oh wow Glazed, I am so so sorry for your sudden loss of friendship, for the sisterhood and for the frustration of not getting to say a proper good bye. Prayers are with you and her family as well.

lurnin2farm 01/09/13 09:26 PM

I'm very sorry for your loss. Hugs for you and prayers for her family.

Glazed, what a wonderful tribute, and a sad time for you. I'm so sorry you're hurting.
Peaceful thoughts and healing energy coming your way.
The longer you wait, the harder it will be. My thoughts are with you at this sad time.

Tommyice 01/09/13 10:08 PM

So very sorry Glazed.

It's especially hard when we lose our friends. Spouses, children, siblings always get comforted and sympathy. Friends are often left off to the side. Yet their pain of loss is just as great.

Make her immortal--speak of her often.

vicker 01/09/13 10:28 PM

I have three real friends in my life. I've had them for a long time too. I've had 4. One of them, Rusty, died very suddenly 3 years ago on Labor Day. Rusty was larger than life in every way, and had been my friend the longest. It really took me a long time to wrap my mind around a world with no Rusty in it. I just couldn't see it. It is sad to lose the ones we love, but our lives are much better for having loved them. You should celebrate her life. I'm sure she leaves a big space.

glazed 01/09/13 11:08 PM

.... yes she does a real big space ....

glazed 01/09/13 11:13 PM

I finally cried tonight. Let it all out. All the anger and confusion and sadness and shame and stress that's been building for a long while now. I let it all out. I didn't have Beth to talk to. But I turned to Someone Else. I feel alittle better. Might go for "round two" for good, cleansing measure. I love y'all. Thank you for the kinship here.

KnowOneSpecial 01/09/13 11:20 PM

I'm sorry for your loss.

It seems like theres been a rash of weird/untimely deaths lately. I have a friend who lost her husband to strep a few weeks before Christmas. He didn't even have a sore throat until the third or fourth day of having a fever. He went to the docs and got antibiotics but it was too little too late.

I guess they are teaching us to cherish every second.

wyld thang 01/09/13 11:46 PM

I'm really sorry Glazed. It's just gonna hurt, but being thankful for her helps balance it a little.

ksredman 01/10/13 12:31 AM

Glazed, I'm so sorry to hear that. I lost a very dear lifelong friend about 6 months ago, and a day hasn't went by that I have not thought about him. Life is for the living, it is good to grieve, but get up, dust yourself off and get back into the game. I'm sure your friend would want you to do that. She will never be gone, she will be alive in your memories of her forever.....

I'm so sorry for the huge loss of your dear friend. Remember, "Death leaves a heartache no human can heal, but love leaves memories no one can steal."

May the God of peace and comfort be with you and your friend's family. 2 Cor.1: 2-4; Rev. 21:4

Centralilrookie 01/10/13 06:51 AM

So sorry for your loss. Big hug for you.

homefire2007 01/10/13 07:38 AM

So sorry for the loss to you and her family. A friend is priceless.

sidepasser 01/10/13 11:07 AM

((hugs)) to you Glazed, a friend shines a very precious light on our lives and it is very hard to manage to get around in the dark when a friend's light goes out. I am sorry your friend passed away, she was a very pretty lady and I know you will miss her. Look up in the sky at night, I am sure her light is shining there for you to see.
