I saw my neighbor yesterday and she asked me if I would be willing to sell it to her since it was still in the box when I loaned it to her so I took her money to put in my checking account to cover the charge I made ordering myself another when my next credit card payment comes in.

As said in a post above I am trying to teach her "how to fish" because although I really don't like most people, if I have to have any within decomp smell distance, I prefer that they don't die and smell up my area. If I can teach her to handle things on her own maybe she will leave me be.

What I really dislike is since the former neighbor died and the many old timers moved into assisted living , it seems that most all the noobs on my road end up coming to my place after a shtf inconvenience has been going for a day or so to ask me how I can relax comfortably in my shack being alone and on one or two crutches depending on how good or bad my better leg is on the day.

They seem put off that I keep my information sharing with them as short as possible and don't invite them inside my home but I have a pack of dogs as pets and I make sure I always keep at least two inside to yap and howl so I can tell them I am staying outside for their safety.

The truth is I really don't want to know any of my neighbors beyond the occasional short conversation across my property fence and my home is where I enjoy my solitude.

I value my home solitude so much that I fenced and gated my place and tend some overgrowth landscaping around my boundaries and around my house to make it a bit less visually appealing without looking totally "Munster".

Sorry (not really) to bring this post back--But--I'm wondering what Shreck's take is on all the people in the East Coast wanting someone to take care of them??

I really want a solid backup plan. Will you please let me know if her place suddenly comes on the market?

Next time her place comes on the market I intend to pay up to 4 times fair market price for it, let the VFD practice burn the house and turn the acreage into a pond and pasture.
