An animal cannot choose to be any different than it is. It is being the best skunk, squirrel, deer, raccoon, etc that it can be.

People can choose to be different. That is the difference. If someone chooses to be an arse, then no I don't have that much compassion for them. As I am sure people think I am an arse and don't want to have any for me.

If someone wants to ridicule and call people silly for believing differently than they do, then they should expect someone to call them on it. I am not one that sits and pretends the elephant in the room doesn't exist, sorry. Not going to change for anyone either.

I never said everyone should think the way I do. I said I don't get the tendency to come on and brag over killing everything that moves and that people don't want around. There are other ways of handling it as well. I'm not sure how big a deal it is to blow away a little animal with a gun and be proud.

I would think having compassion for a human would over ride compassion for an animal. Believe it or not I have a lot of compassion for animals but I have more for some ones feelings. These same people had compassion for you when you lost you job when we all knew it was probably self inflicted because of you attitude and unwillingness to change. You always say I am who I am and I say how I feel. Well that don't make it right and it sure don't make it ok. People can choose to be different but seems to me you want everyone else to change to your way of thinking or we are scum of the earth. You need to take your own advice. You are a cyber bully.

Is this really still going on? I just want to say ...the world is a beautiful place tonight. I'm sitting on the front porch with a cup of coffee. Listening to the birds sing goodnight and the night bugs sing their wakeups. It's 69 deg. and breezy. Rained a couple of hours ago and washed the air clean. Sun just went down. Gorgeous! The scent of oregano, basil, and mint. Serenity!

It's too nice out and life's too short to fuss.

Yes and if no one ever killed the poor fuzzy critters we couldn't build a strong enough coop or house or anything else to keep them out. Everything will be starving. Especially a band of coons. I wouldn't want to deal with it. There would be so much disease we would all be sick any way.
