Cub Cadet Steering Grease Fitting

Are they real or decorative? I've tried to find a hole to stick a pin in but there doesn't seem to be one and grease gun doesn't pump. Real close to getting my hammer, but am doing a step back and re-think!

You should be able to unscrew it if its a real zerk fitting. The ones that I remember seeing have always been replaceable since they are easy to get clogged or broken off.

It is real not decorative. It may be one that has a screw or one that tap in. Both can be replaced.

Apply a little bit of heat to soften up the old grease in the fitting so the check ball can move.
