Power to Polaris ATV Winch.

I have a 1996 Polaris Sportsman 400. I cannot locate the positive power source for the winch as it disappears under the handle bars. I imagine I'll have to take off the brush plate or fender.

Is there a power junction under there somewhere???

hooked mine straight to the battery.....

I have a 1994 400L Polaris. Hood wires direct to the battery then you will have load rated wiring from power source to the winch.
