Bandsaw recommendations

Hubbie is in the market for a bandsaw. He wants at least 2hp. He's looking at the Grizzly 17" but is open to a saw that might be a little less cost wise. Does anyone had a bandsaw brand that you highly recommend or that you would avoid?
Thanks for the input!

It appears to be a good bandsaw. What does he want to cut with it? I tried looking at other sites with bandsaws about the same size, and all appear to be high priced. As long as he can get parts for it, it should last a long time. I have an OLD craftsman bandsaw, but it cuts what I want. It maybe a 14 inch.

I have a grizzly 14" GO555, with a riser, that I bought in 2008. It serves me well. I use it mostly for re-sawing maple and cedar. 6" -8" boards. Mine is a one horsepower saw and is enough for me. Re-sawing with a band saw generates a lot of fine dust so I then bought a dust collector for all my equipment. I use 1/2" carbide re-saw glades.

I've got the black Grizzly anniversary saw, which is similar.

Good saw for the money.

You cutting metal or wood? I have an old bandsaw in the shop I haven't used since I retired 10 yrs ago. I think its only one hp though. It will cut and 8 inch sq tube. I've never sold it because I might need it some day.

I would say blade width is more important than anything. The wider the blade the straighter the cut. Recommend at least a 1 inch blade.
