UGH Trailer light connection on truck and fuse diagrams!!!

Can anyone tell me where to find the COMPLETE fuse diagram for a 2005 Chevy Silverado which explains what's what?

My trailer connector on the truck isn't getting power and I can't find anything, even with several minutes online, which shows EXACTLY what each fuse actually does. I think I have checked every fuse in the inside and outside fuse panels and all check out fine. But before I start replacing anything I really, really would like to know its not some fuse I've missed.

I had an '03 Avalanche which is similar to a pickup. Under the hood is a power center with a bunch of square (abt 1/4") fuses, one will be for the brake controller and another for power to the trailer. (not lights) I think they were either 30 or 40 amp fuses. If you shorted out the trailer power you could have taken out the trailer power. Look inside the cover of the power center for labels.

Can't say about the trucks because we didn't work on them. but by 2001 GM had went to computer type modules to power most electrics in a car. Saved almost 800 pounds if copper in 2001. A purple wire in the loom sent signals from the switch to a module in the trunk under the shelf to control the rear lights.
I'd be willing to bet the truck is the same and the module that controls the tail lites for the trailer may have up and puked and that is why you are not finding a diagram.

Hey watcher,
I didn't find a wiring diagram yet, but I found this thread that might be very interesting for you to read on "factory" GM wiring.
The short version is........sometimes the red and blue wires are missing or just not hooked up to anything.

More info, the problem is new. Last year the lights worked fine but the other day I had no power to the plug. I haven't had time to check it out completely so I'm not 100% sure if the problem is fusing or the plug itself.

That's a different story then.
Look for a loose wire or broken wire, I'd check the ground wire first, that seems to be the most common problem. A good ground can make all the difference.

I thought you didn't have power to your trailer....I looked around and found this:

Might be worth a look.

See if this works. The only way I can figure how to get it on here. May have to enlarge it up to read it.

You also have a fuse panel on the right side of the passenger compartment. Look at the legend on the cover to see what is what.

I have other sources that say it could possibly be the Hazard/Turn Signal Flasher Module that is located on the left side instrument panel fuse box. It's a bigger relay with 10 pins on it. That is only if you have power at all your exterior lamps fuses.
That's all I got on this issue.
