Needing scamatics for Horse TB Tiller
I took the old engine off of it a month ago. Ive already lost the pulley that was on the engine. Anybody know where I can find one?
Im needing pics to show how it goes back together. I bought a new HF engine for it.

I have a Bronco. I can take pics if it is helpful.
Need the model number off it. If you can find the tag get all the numbers. Post them up.

All I can tell you is that its a HORSE model. I went where you posted, but it wouldn't open to show any diagrams when I hit the Horse model.

There are many horse models. You may have to get a flashlight or mirror to find your exact model.
http://www.ehow.com/how_10043402_ser...ototiller.html
Troy-Bilt rototillers have a serial number tag that is metal and about 2-inches wide by 3-inches long. The older models do not have an actual model number but only a name to distinguish the size. Early production models include the Horse, Pony and Junior. You must find the location of the serial number tag to order parts that will fit your particular rototiller for seamless replacement of parts.
How many horsepower was the original engine?

On the old Gardenways Horse the serial number is stamped into the top of a little flange on the side of the transmission just to the right (viewed from behind) of where the handles attach. It may be covered in gunk so a douse of mineral spirits and a little scraping will reveal it.

The engine was junk when I got it. I didn't pay it any notice as to size, and it never visually indicated what size it was. Ive been all over that tiller, both in taking it apart, and now trying to put it together. I never saw any tags with ID #s, But, since I know where to look, Ill look closer at that point by the handles on the right side.
Right now im just missing the pulley that goers onto the engine. Ill be looking for another junk Horse to get that from. What I REALLY need is a picture of how the parts I have go back together. I cant figure out how the reverse lever is rigged up. I remember that the thing had 2 V belts, but the trans has a 3 groove pulley.

This is a post answering my question about the horse I got minus an engine. I also am planning on a HF engine. Mine still had the pully.
That is a Troy-Bilt Horse I or Horse II. They aren't very different and I would guess it's a II.
Anyway, the serial number is located behind the right wheel on the side of the transmission. That will tell you the year along with instructions for finding the serial number. That information is contained in this sticky thread at the top of the forum
http://www.mytractorforum.com/showthread.php?t=153157
Once you get the model year and whether it's a Horse I or II from the serial number list, all of the manuals are available here on the forum here:
http://www.mytractorforum.com/forumdisplay.php?f=291
I'm thinking that's a Horse II and yes, a 6 HP Tecumseh was one of the options. There was also a 7 HP Kohler and an 8 HP Briggs. There was another too, but it escapes me right now.
You're lucky that the drive pulley from the engine is still there. That's a huge bonus making the repower a cinch. In my opinion, that's the hard part.
Good luck and keep the cards and letters coming
You can read my post here.

AH, You all DO realize, that when your describeing a side of a tractor, Its described from the position of the operator setting on the tractor, OR at the back of the tractor. NOT THE FRONT????????????????????????????????????????????? ??????????????????????????????
SAME WAY WITH WALK BEHIND MACHINERY
I didn't find a thing on the R hand side of the tiller.
ON THE L H side however, I found TH-1001
0 with a B in it
AND turned upside down A-77

What is the spark plug gap on Preditor engines? I called HF which is the number listed at the bottom of the operators manual, But they said they were loaded up and would get back with me. The ph got shut off before they called back, 3 times.

On the right side of the page, in RED, PDF Version, click on that and follow the directions on the various popups.
Their toll free phone number is in the upper right portion of the page that my link takes you to.
0.015" is the usual gap for spark plugs.

Click on the second link I posted and it will take you to a place to down load PDF files of manuals.
The owners manual on page two has the location ot the serial number.
DJ also has the list on what year they were made by serial number.
