got my snowblower up and running today...

I know I got lazy. Last year right at the last snowfall, I broke my belt on my snow blower. Well I had fuel stabilizer in the mix, and ran it for a while, but then just put it away...meaning to replace the belt this summer. I never got around to it. Now with today's big snow, I put a new belt on. and away I go! Any of you have a snow blower? So glad I have one. Really saves the back and time!

this one belongs to my father in law well really now the mother in law since he passed Nov 2009.
It is a 1961 9 HP B/S powered Simplicity Land Lord. The blower is a 48 inch.

It was not used in 2008 because dad was ill so I just plowed the drive for them. 2009 it again wasn't used as it wouldn't start run, no big deal I just plowed the drive.

In the spring of 2010 I worked on it and got spark again but it didn't run well so I took the carb off and apart. It soaked for about a month in carb cleaner as I was in no hurry. I got it assembled and reinstalled in Oct. got it running and adjusted & greased all up.
On Dec. 12 we got a snow storm which I went and cleaned up on the 13th. that old Land Lord did a greaqt job.

Dad also had a B/S 5HP Troy Built 22 inch Squall for doing the side walks and porches. It does an excenttlant job even on the drive as I have been useing it in the just inches of snow we have got the last 3 times. It really cleans the light snow fall up better than the Land Lord does, almost like sweeping the drive.
