got 315's want 285's

I have old 315's on my truck now, and have a set of new 285's that I want to put on there and both are 75R16's , is there going to be issues with the wheel size just swapping rubbers over?

The only big difference will be the foot print on the road/ground. There will be a small difference in tire height/circumfrence. The 75 is the width/height aspect of tire size.

ie: Tire height is 75% of tire width.

You need to pay attention to wheel width and be sure it's within the range specified for the tire. That info can usually be found on the tire manufacturer's website. If the wheels are on the narrower half of the range for the 315's, there shouldn't be any problem with the 285's; but if the wheels are pretty wide, they may be wider than the 285's want.

that's what I was worried about backwoodsman7 ... don't want the sidewalls of brand new bridgestones all stressed out on the 315's wheel width ... I'll run a tape on the sets width and make a judgement call ...
