2003 Silverado blower motor resistor

Looking for the blower motor resistor, blower only works on the top two settings, was easy to find on a dodge 2002 dakota, not sure where to look on this truck.

It has to be in close proximity to the blower. Follow the wires from the blower and it should lead you to it. It has to be cooled from the blower air because it's a resistor plus it's wired right into it.

Can not say for sure on the truck line. But on the car line it is under the hood on the passanger side near the hood brace, screwed to the top of the air duct. Remove the 7 MM screws and pull it out of the duct.
Look for a connector with 4 wires, red, purple, black and a green with black stripe.

I don't have a 2003 book. Look behind the glove box around the HVAC case.

Well if it is like my 98 suburban it is on top of the heater box right behind the glove box. Release the glove box latches and let it hang down and peek in with a flashlight. it will have two hex head screws and a plug going into it. I have replaced two since I got my sub. (one from the dealer and it was the same as from napa. so don't bother getting it from GM.)

blower motor resistor

remove the right hush panel with a 5.5mm socket. The resistor is right behind, just follow the leads from the motor. You will also find the connector melted.you might be able to jury rig the connector without replacing it, most likely not. by the wa, the hush panel is the black plasic panel above the passenger's feet
