2002 dodge dakota

Have to replace plug to ac/heat,defroster resistor. Got new plug from dealer how do you get the contacts into the plug itself, tried 3 different ways, no luck so far. Wire feeds in from the front of the plug but contact does not fit into slot. Any info helpful.
