Looking for clutch setups for go carts

In Harbour Freights catalog, they usta have a kinda clutch setup for go carts. They dont have them now. I am thinking?wondering if I could adapt something like that for my Wards 2 wheel garden tractor? Whats your thoughts, both as to its being able to be done, and if so, where to look for something like it

Northern tools has clutch setups in the latest catalogs. With the correct shiv's and ratios it should work out nicely.

Hope this helps

A lever and a belt tensioner mounted between the two pulleys would be my choice, cheap and functional. If done properly you may even get a reverse which would be nice when turning around.

Comet centrifugal clutches are the ones that about every farm supply store and online store sells.

The URL that I bookmarked just last week was defunct so I did a quick search and came up with this site: http://www.cometkartsales.com/store/...s/clutches.htm

Looks to me like they are selling clutches from about every mfg.

While true clutches are very expensive in relationship to engine cost one should remember that they will last many years or decades so a per year cost would be low IF they are taken care of and are in out of the weather.
