Oh well I guess I'll be able to tell you all how it works. Bought it today.

I looked at the video and was not vary impressed. Seems to be on the light side. Wood being split in the video should be fed as is once cut to length.

What is the ton capacity of the splitting portion of the machine? A decent log splitter should be 20 tons.

How are you going to keep the blade sharp with muddy/dirty logs being cut?

As for being light, I think you will break the splitting wedge portion with knotty firewood.

If the unit has a warranty, I would try some logs that would test the performance before the warranty expires. Put some twisted grain sweet gum through the machine

Its used and on the plus side I know the fellow who ran it reasonably well. It came so cheap I really can't complain if it is a bit limited but we'll see.

Used and knowing the background would make a difference to me also. If the price is right I can make concessions!

Less than a 1/4 the price of new. Needs a guard for the blade but runs smooth and fast. New $300 blade too.

Meant to get back to htis. I have to find a longer PTO shft. The modifications to the processor include a frame a stand so it need not go on the 3pth. It was fine where we tried it. Bringing it home means dropping it on the ground but we aren't quite free of the ice so I haven't done much more with it yet. Maybe tomorrow we had rain and even more ice is gone.
