1994 Buick Regal Custom 2 dr 3.8

I've had inter mitten problems with my dash lights going out. Today they are out again and don't appear to be coming back on. I also noticed that my tail lights are out. Brake lights and emergency flashers work ok. Fuse, wire or what do you think. Mechanic is gone for the weekend and could use some suggestions. Thanks

Tail lights are fused seperately so it might just be a fuse. Now the intermittent dash lights might be your headlight switch or the part of it that dims the dash lights. First check for power at the fuse and through the fuse.

Our 94 Park Ave had lots of electrical problems. The good mechanic had to keep it for days to finally track it down. It was a voltage regulator that would sometimes send about 25VDC through the system.

Delaware, Winter salt. Check all the front engine compartment frame rail gounds. Make sure they are clean and tight. Next step is to reach up under the dash and jiggle the head light switch with some one watching the tail lights. There are also ground wires under the kick pads.
There are also ground wires in the trunk compartment. One goes to the tail lights, I think it is the one on the right.
