Think it was a Kawasaki it the local fair last year; Instead of 4 tires/rims, it had 4 "bobcat (read, triangular) tread setups. Cool, but can see severe maintenance issues-

Tracks can be added to about anything as an add on unit. Well if you can afford them.

A couple of years ago I came across photos of Kubota RTV 900s with tracks, JD Gators, etc.

I saw that show. Seems like you would have to mount from the rear or climb right over those muddy tracks every time if you had cargo on the rear rack.

I've seen the tracks at the link above on several 4 wheelers. They go pretty good in snow and one guy always is the first to take his out on the ice during hard water fishing time.

up hear..most are putting tracks on their atvs..as every year we get less snow and a shorter season..so people take their atv's out in the snow...

most i know love them....doesnt compare to a smooth snow mobile..but fun and versatile..and you can plow your driveway with one..if you get a plow..

Here's a video, AVG (Anti Virus Guard; free) scanned it as to be virus free. Neat, but I'll keep my old Artic Cats (unless someone has a Scorpion 440 for a trade :-)

A local fella put the mattracks on an older suburban and used it for hunting, mostly it just sat around cause those tracks cost him enough he couldnt afford fuel for the rig.... he sold it out of state a couple years back though he did have fun in a parade afore he did.

If i was goona have an atv with tracks i would wanna go allout and get an Argo or type rig and apply the tracks to one of those, at least then it would pretty much be an all season all terrain vehicle.....

Ahhh, the Argo (6 wheeler, right?). My dad had one when I was a kid (different name, just 6 wheeler to us). Joystick and peadl controls. Amphibious, and terrain. Problem was the wheells and/or studs broke on a regular basis (mid to late 70s). Saw one at a garage sale a while back, and just couldn't bring myself to make an offer considering the astronomical asking price. ($3500)!!

Hey, you're somewhere up in that part of the state. I stayed a night in a motel in Grangeville back in the 80s. Looked out the bathroom window across the alley and there sat a Checker cab on tracks. Big rubber tracks, like a cat or tank. You ever see that machine anywhere around there? I always wondered if it worked.
