CIH Tractors ??

I never really looked into CIH we run Ford and Deere, but there are 2 CIH tractors a 5320 and a CX 100 locally. I'm pretty sure the CX is 100 hp (and McCormick took over that line right?) but what's the other? Anyone have either? Good bad?

are the numbers transposed in the 5320 ? Could it be a 5230?

I have had nothing but good luck with the CIH machines. I like the fact that they develop their HP at a lower RPM than many of the other brands.

Um yeah it could be switched. Crud now I forget. I remember it had 18.4x38's the cx had 18.4x34's (which I run already on 3 tractors) I'm kinda thinking about a 100-150hp field re-arranger/ maybe power for a big square baler. These two struck a cord in the controls. Everything just felt like it was in the right place. Our Deere is like that but not the Fords so much. They're what I grew up with though. I was thinking of an old Ford TW 10, 15 or 20 but it seems wrong to not look at the red tractors. I don't need a "new" tractor to yank around an off set discs or (in my dreams|) a roll over plow. So whats a really good older IH or Case?

we run deere's and fords mostly and went with a cih a year ago to replace the grinder tractor, way underpowered for the rating and the hydrolics are no good for running equipment--do fine with cylinders but not motors that need constant flow. work bought a cih tractor about 4 years ago for the compost operation, its spent more time in the shop than on the job, they have two deeres as well and they have never had to go to the dealer shop. in all fairness they let inmates run the equipment so it does get rode hard and put away wet. the next tractor we buy for the farm will be a deere.
