Flywheel B&S 12.5 HP

Any secrets to getting the flywheel off one of these puppies??? TIA, Daryll in NW FLA

Remove the nut that retains the flywheel to the crankshaft, and any thing that the nut holds on top of the flywheel. There should be 2 threaded holes 180° apart in the top of the flywheel. You need something like a harmonic balancer puller with long bolts that fit the threaded holes.

Yes an be sure that the swivel on the end of the puller don't force itself in the hole of the crankshaft .It is not fun .

Thanks guys, broke down and bought a puller-was hoping for some easy shade tree way of doing it with out a puller.
