stuck pto shaft

I'm cleaning up a couple of old farm implements. They have been sitting out in the weather for years. the pto shafts are stuck and won't slide. i've soaked them in pb blaster and rang them with a brass hammer. I chained the post hole digger to a tree and tried to tug the shaft apart with the 850...no workee.... any suggestions?

Prop them up so the oil will run inside, and keep soaking them. It may take days or weeks for it to soak in deep enough to get them free

You need to apply some heat the the outer sleeve of the pto. That should cause some expansion then the solvent should be able to work its way on into the area where the rust is holding the two pieces together.

Hey.

Get a plastic tub and submerse them in vinegar. The vinegar will eat away some of the rust that's locked it up.
