Pressure Washer

I need a pressure washer for occasional use around the home, here's one that looks like it will serve the purpose, made in Germany. What is your opinion?

I'm not a big fan of ELE. power washers they don't seam to hold up and it's funny but for some reason water and ELE. don't mix. I would just spend more and get a gas job. Make sure and you put some STA-BIL Gas Stabilizer in the gas if its going to sit idle for some time.

I have to agree with Fl.Boy. I have had two electric pressure washers and both were junk after a year. I bought a gasoline powered Craftsman a few years ago and it is a good machine.

I'd stay away from electric. I bought a Karcher from Big Lots for about 2x what that cost and I'm satisfied. It's not a commercial unit but it's pretty good for the money.

A guy just gave me a new one like that that he could not get to function to his satisfaction. Since he is very frugal and he gave it to me it must not be any good.

Spend a few bucks and get at least a 2500 or 3000 psi machine. Electric is a total waste. I have owned two 5000 and one 3000 psi machines. When I retired my wife bought an 1800 psi gas machine and it is junk for real work. Just my two cents.

When I was looking for a pressure washer, I was told you need at least 2000psi or don't bother, and gas is the only way to go, forget about 110 electric, the garden hose is just as good.

I got a 2400psi Karcher gas unit, and it works great. I'd not want less pressure, and I'd not want to mix electric with water.

Ditto on they don't hold up. We went through a couple and finally got a real one.

I've got a gas unit that cost about $200 at sears when it was on sale.It has about 2200 psi. and a Briggs & Stratton 3 HP,50 ft hose and a frame with wheels. The only problem I've had with it in about 3 years was with the handle/nozzle assembly because it never would put out quiet enough pressue, and it was cheaply made (the handle and nozzle part, everything else is made pretty good) and broke about the 6th or 7th time i used it. so I went to the local hardware and bought a new handle with interchangable nozzles and am totally happy with it now.I have a nozzle that will take the paint off any car and cut into wood,so it'll clean anything I want to clean.BTW,I bought this handle, all the fittings I need to hook it up to my hose, and about 6 nozzles for less than $40,but I know prices will vary.
