ceiling fan air movementq

Ceiling fan says blades go 'forward' for cool air in summer and 'reverse' for warmth in winter. Does that translate into clockwise/counterclockwise?

Just look at the blades and picture how they will move the air when turning. If the high side leads it blows down, and if the low side leads it pulls up

The reversing blade idea is pure marketing hype; both directions mix the air and make the space more comfortable. The "information" that for winter use you need to have the air pulled up and in summer, pushed down, is garbage, do what ever feels better. Some folks like to pull the air up because it doesn't blow papers off their desk.

Up forces the hot air down along the walls for warmth and blowing down circulates the air to the cooler air on the floor and provides a breeze across you. Not just marketing but simple fact.
